"Dreamland" expands its Japanese voice cast with Takuya Eguchi, Hiroyuki Yoshino and Masahiko Tanaka. As Anime!Anime! reported on September 9, Eguchi voices the fighter Savane, Yoshino takes on Sabba, and Tanaka can be heard as Jung. The series premieres on October 17, 2026 in the Japanese programming block "ANiMAZiNG!!!" from ABC TV and the TV Asahi network.

French manga becomes an animated series

"Dreamland" is based on the French manga of the same name by Reno Lemaire. The focus is on Terrence, who, after his mother's death in a fire, suffers from a strong fear of fire. When he overcomes this fear in a dream, he awakens as a so-called Traveler and can enter the world born from dreams and nightmares, Dreamland.

The production is created by Ellipse Animation and La Chouette Compagnie. The studios are producing the first season with ten episodes of 22 minutes each. Juan Pablo Machado and Johanna Celse are credited as directors there. For the Japanese version, Soichiro Kubo leads the voice direction; Tohokushinsha is responsible for sound production.

As early as the end of August, Kakeru Hatano as Terrence, Asami Tano as Eve, Kaede Hondo as Lydia and Daisuke Namikawa as Neil were presented. The official first PV shows the Japanese dub and the dream world of the series.

Crunchyroll brings Dreamland to Europe too

For German-speaking viewers the release is directly relevant: Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream "Dreamland" in Europe from October. A specific German premiere date or details about a German dub are so far not available. The manga itself is known in Germany; according to Crunchyroll, TOKYOPOP has published a total of 18 volumes since 2013.

"Dreamland" thus belongs to the October titles with a confirmed European Crunchyroll stream. "Hotaru no Yomeiri" was also announced for Europe. In parallel, the number of new manga adaptations continues to grow, including the TV anime for "Mochizuki-san" and "Boku no Sukina Hito ga Sukina Hito", summarized today at aninew.de here.
