Takopi's Original Sin: New Trailer and Song for the Theatrical Film
The cinema version combines six episodes with additional scenes and opens in Japan on November 27.

The anime film Takopi's Original Sin – Arigatou, Mata Ashita opens in Japanese cinemas on November 27, 2026. TBS has released a new trailer for it, along with a visual drawn by character designer Keita Nagahara. The film music also gains "Rabyu," a theme song written specifically for it by Tele.
The six-part series becomes a theatrical film
The film is a re-edited cinema version of the anime series Takopi's Original Sin, which was released in 2025. All six episodes serve as the basis; additional scenes are added for the cinema version. It is therefore not a sequel season or a completely new story.
At the center is the alien creature Takopi, who wants to bring joy to Earth. There it meets the schoolgirl Shizuka. When Takopi tries to help her, it runs into problems that cannot simply be solved with its unusual tools. The story deals, among other things, with exclusion and the difficult living conditions of children.
The new visual shows Shizuka, Marina and Azuma in a classroom, separated from one another in space. Takopi sits on Shizuka's shoulder. The motif comes from Keita Nagahara, who is also responsible for the character design of the adaptation.
New trailer with theme song by Tele
The cinema trailer, presented on October 23, also contains scenes not shown before. The theme song is "Rabyu" by the musician Tele, who had already contributed the ending "Garasu no Sen" to the anime series. The new composition was created specifically for the cinema film.

Shinya Iino directs and is responsible for the series composition. The animation production is handled by ENISHIYA. The Japanese voice cast returns: Kurumi Mamiya voices Takopi, Reina Ueda Shizuka, Konomi Kohara Marina and Anna Nagase Azuma. Ryota Osaka again takes on Junya.
Japanese cinema release in November
The source is the manga by Taizan 5, which began running in Shonen Jump+ in December 2021 and concluded in two collected volumes. The anime was first released as a streaming series in 2025. For the cinema release, a PG-12 age rating is listed.
In November, the ufotable film Witch on the Holy Night also arrives in Japanese cinemas. Another manga adaptation, Fool Night, is scheduled for the streaming lineup at the end of November. No German cinema date for the Takopi compilation has been announced so far.
