BokuYaba: Manga Ends After Eight Years With Final Chapter
The 14th and final volume will be released on November 6, 2026; a third anime season has been announced for 2027.

The manga "BokuYaba" by Norio Sakurai ended on September 15, 2026, after a run of roughly eight years. The final chapter appeared on Champion Cross, the platform operated by Akita Shoten. According to Anime!Anime!, the story of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada, published since 2018, now comes to an end.
According to Champion Cross, the series reached a total circulation of more than seven million copies up to and including volume 13. The 14th and final compiled volume will be released in Japan on November 6, 2026. Alongside the regular edition, a special edition including the picture book "第十二中学校卒業アルバム" has been announced.
Final Volume With Artbook and New Animate Sets
Nijimen has now shared further details about the release of the final volume. The regular edition costs 649 yen in Japan, the special edition with the graduation album artbook 4,620 yen. Animate also offers several sets: Set A includes a newly drawn acrylic charm featuring Ichikawa and Yamada, Set B a 24-page memorial booklet with earlier Animate illustrations. The premium set combines both extras. A box set containing all volumes will also be released on November 6 for 2,970 yen.

Conclusion After Roughly Eight Years
The series began in 2018 and tells the love story between the withdrawn Kyotaro Ichikawa and the popular classmate Anna Yamada. For the conclusion, Anime!Anime! also points to several awards the manga has received, including first place in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Award 2020."
For the finale, Akita Shoten has published a special page with congratulatory illustrations from other Champion Cross authors. From September 22, drawings by authors publishing on YanChan Web are also set to appear. The campaign "#BokuYaba祝電" runs until October 4, in which readers can submit contributions; selected messages are later to be used in advertising and promotion for the final volume.
For the anime adaptation, the story is not over: a third TV season has been announced for 2027. The current report does not provide further details on the start.
The ending joins several recent conclusion reports from the manga sector. Recently, Mii-chan to Yamada-san also ended, with an anime announced for 2027. For other series, however, the continuation is shifting: Medalist is currently on a manga hiatus with no fixed return date. Honey Lemon Soda has also reached its manga finale after roughly ten and a half years.
