Spice and Wolf: Season 2 airs in 2027 on Japanese TV
The new teaser visual shows the merchant Eve Bolan alongside Holo and Lawrence for the first time.

The second season of Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF will air on Japanese television in 2027. As Anime!Anime! reports and the official website confirms, a second teaser visual for the continuation has also been released. There is so far no more specific start month or concrete broadcast date.
The visual shows the traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and the wolf goddess Holo at a laid table in a room lit by firelight and candlelight. Standing behind the two is Eve Bolan, a mysterious merchant who appears for the first time in the second season. The visual thus already offers a concrete hint about the next part of the journey, without revealing further details of the plot.
Passione produces the continuation
Passione is once again responsible for the animation. The official website lists Takeo Takahashi and Hijiri Sanpei as chief directors, and Nobuyoshi Nagayama and Takahiro Majima as directors. The music continues to come from Kevin Penkin. Readers who want to learn more about the studio's recent work will also find on aninew.de the report on Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! and its October start. Kevin Penkin has also recently been associated with Made in Abyss and its new main trailer.
The underlying light novel by Isuna Hasekura celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. According to Anime!Anime!, the series' worldwide circulation now exceeds ten million copies, including print and digital editions in Japan and abroad. Alongside the main series, Spice and Wolf: Spring Log and the spin-off Wolf and Parchment are also being released.
The first season of the new adaptation aired in 2024 across two cours. For Season 2, apart from the year 2027, neither a precise Japanese start date nor details about a broadcast or simulcast in German-speaking regions have been confirmed.
