Promise Me the Spotlight: New Key Visual and Teaser PV
The idol romance names four lead voice actors, the studio TEAM TillDawn, and the opening song by Yuika.

The TV anime Promise Me the Spotlight (Watashi wo Center ni Suru to Chikaimasuka?) unveils a new key visual and a teaser PV on November 4, 2026. The preview focuses on the idol group Melty Strawberry and the unusual bond between up-and-coming singer Mizuki Natsuno and her only loyal fan, Koichi Okuta. The official anime website also confirms four lead roles and the production team.
Idol career and a promise
Mizuki belongs to the popular group Melty Strawberry, but within the lineup she ranks last in popularity. At her fan events, practically only Koichi shows up. When he promises to get her into the group's center position, Mizuki sets a condition: should he succeed, she will marry him. The story thus combines the perspective of an idol with that of a fan. Together, they work to change Mizuki's standing in the group.
The new key visual shows the members in stage costumes in front of an audience. Koichi can be seen among the spectators with a glow stick. The teaser PV is linked from the official website and already includes a clip from the opening song "Nanimono demo nakatta Watashi dakara" by Yuika.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
Cast and production confirmed
Katsuki Mikawa voices Mizuki Natsuno. Taihi Kimura voices Koichi Okuta, while Mai Kanno is heard as Awiyuki Shirai and Yukari Anzai as Hatsune Fukuwa. The team names Seiji Kishi as director, Yuko Kakihara for series composition, and Kazuaki Morita for character design. The animation is produced by TEAM TillDawn.
The basis is the manga by Jun Wakatsuki, published by Kodansha via Magazine Pocket. A Japanese broadcast on the TV Tokyo network group has been announced. A precise premiere date, episode count, and a German streaming license are not yet specified on the official site.
Anime about musicians and their supporters are also present in other productions: aninew has reported, for example, on the Idolmaster SideM film and a music video crossover of Oshi no Ko.
