Skip and Loafer Season 2 premieres in April 2027
A new teaser PV shows fresh scenes from the sequel for the first time; P.A.WORKS is producing again.
"Skip and Loafer 2nd season" premieres in April 2027 on Japanese television. The official website of the anime adaptation confirms the new timeframe and publishes a teaser PV with previously unreleased scenes from the sequel.
The second season continues the anime adaptation of Misaki Takamatsu's manga. Since December 2024 it has been known that P.A.WORKS will produce the sequel after the first season as well. With the new announcement, there is now a concrete premiere month for the first time. A precise air date and a streaming partner for Germany are not yet named in the current announcement.
P.A.WORKS returns with the familiar core team
Kotomi Deai again takes over direction and series composition. Yoko Yonaiyama also works on series composition, while Manami Umeshita is again responsible for character design and chief animation direction. The official website names Reina Igawa and Yusuke Inoue as additional chief animation directors. The music this time comes from Michiru and Takatsugu Wakabayashi.
The two central voice actors return as well: Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Mitsumi Iwakura, and Akinori Egoshi again voices Sosuke Shima. Both commented on their return to their roles in connection with the date announcement. The current report does not yet name further cast members.
The April 2027 start places the sequel within an increasingly crowded anime season. aninew.de already lists the start of "Shozen" for the same month; "Free Fire Daybreak" is also announced for spring 2027.
The first season of "Skip and Loafer" aired in 2023 and adapts Takamatsu's manga, which continues to be published by Kodansha. For Season 2, the production team and the two lead roles are now confirmed alongside the April date; the current announcement contains no information on the episode count or international distribution.
