Free Fire Daybreak premieres in Spring 2027 and tells a standalone story centered on Kelly, Hayato and Moco. Garena and KADOKAWA have released the official trailer, the plot and further details about the production team.

The series is set in the futuristic metropolis New Dawn, which is controlled by the Horizon Corporation. At its center is 16-year-old Kelly, who wakes up without memories of her past and gets caught up in the mysterious "Project Bloom." In the process she develops the ability "Limit Break," with which she can open sealed things.

As individual fragments of memory return, Kelly teams up with new allies. Together they investigate the background of the Horizon Corporation and a threat to the future of New Dawn. The new key visual shows Kelly together with Hayato and Moco; glass shards hint at both her transformation and the central conspiracy.

Studio and Main Team Confirmed

Studio CANDYBOX handles the animation. Ken Takahashi directs, Hotaru Asafuji is responsible for series composition and the script, and Kouji Fujimoto of Sus4 Inc. composes the music. Garena and KADOKAWA are co-producing the project. The series is set to air and stream worldwide; the announcement does not yet name a specific German provider.

The adaptation thus extends Free Fire beyond the mobile game into a standalone anime production. Similar media crossovers are shaping other game franchises as well: Palworld is getting a trading card game launching worldwide, while Sakura Wars is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an exhibition.

Anime!Anime! reports on the newly released trailer and the more detailed presentation of the plot. Garena's official announcement confirms the worldwide premiere in Spring 2027 as well as the core production team. An episode count and specific streaming platforms are not yet known.
