Shangri-La Frontier: First gameplay and new PV at TGS
Netmarble shows the Switch-battle RPG in action for the first time; the new 2D PV was made together with anime studio C2C.

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Netmarble shows real gameplay of Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species for the first time. At the same time, the publisher releases a new 2D PV that the studio C2C produced together with the game's team.
At the media presentation on September 17, Netmarble demonstrates the battle system on running hardware for the first time. The game, developed by Netmarble Nexus, relies on so-called Switch Battles, in which two characters can be swapped during a fight and their abilities combined. Central opponents include the seven unique monsters from the source material that give the title its name.
C2C produces its own anime PV
For the new promotional film, Netmarble works with C2C, the animation studio behind the TV series "Shangri-La Frontier". The PV, produced entirely in 2D, shows Sanraku and Grave Keeper Wezaemon, among others, and combines scenes from the familiar world with depictions of the Switch Battle system.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
The video is published on the game's official YouTube channel. The presentation also showed greeting messages from novelist Katarina, manga artist Ryosuke Fuji and Sanraku voice actor Yuma Uchida.
PC and mobile remain confirmed
"Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species" is planned as a free-to-play RPG for PC, iOS and Android. Netmarble still does not name a release date. The current announcement describes the title as the first game adaptation of the series and now cites more than 18 million manga volumes sold. A third season of the TV anime adaptation is also confirmed.
Several anime-related games currently take center stage at TGS 2026. aninew.de also has details on the first playable version of "Jujutsu Kaisen RUMBLE: SURVIVATON" and the VRChat appearance with Hatsune Miku, Kizuna AI and several anime worlds.
