Rakuen Tsuiho: Theatrical Release Also in 4DX and Dolby Cinema
The film opens on November 13 in several cinema formats; the predecessor screens again in Japan in November.

"Rakuen Tsuiho: Kokoro no Resonance" opens in Japan on November 13, 2026, not only in regular screenings but also in 4DX and Dolby Cinema. At the same time, the production team announces a new television broadcast and streaming campaign for the first film. The release of the sequel is thus accompanied by a look back at the story from 2014.
4DX, Dolby Cinema and the Return of the First Film
As MANTANWEB reported on October 31, the Japanese 4DX and Dolby Cinema screenings begin on the same day as the regular theatrical version. A German release has not yet been announced.
Under the title "Rakuen Tsuihoso," a rebroadcast of the first "Expelled from Paradise" film is also planned. The production announces broadcasts on 16 Japanese television stations in November, along with further streaming campaigns. As part of the program, the first 60 seconds of the sequel are also to be shown for the first time.
Angela Balzac Returns
Angela Balzac is once again part of the film; Rie Kugimiya again voices her. The official website confirms the return of the former main character to the cast. The new theatrical film continues the story of Rakuen Tsuiho – Expelled from Paradise, but initially shifts the focus to other agents.
According to the official synopsis, during Angela's rebellion numerous security agents escaped from the virtual world DEVA to Earth. They have taken possession of physical bodies and hardware containing their personal data and live there in hiding. DEVA refers to the group as "Fallen." Gabriel and other agents are tasked with determining their identities and intentions.
The confirmed cast includes Ayane Sakura as Gabriel, Saori Hayami as Alma, Yoshino Aoyama as Danelle, Sally Amaki as Raguel and Sumire Morohoshi as Penemue. Angela's return links the characters to the events of the original film.
The Sequel's Production Team
Seiji Mizushima again directs, and the screenplay comes from Gen Urobuchi. Masatsugu Saito is responsible for character design, NARASAKI for the music, and Toei Animation for the animation production. Further insight into the character designs is offered by the announced design book by Masatsugu Saito.
The mecha series was most recently also represented in a joint visual with VOTOMS. For the new theatrical version, the now-confirmed special formats and rebroadcasts remain initially tied to Japan. The previously presented trailer featuring Angela was released as a cinema-exclusive preview; a verifiable official YouTube upload of this version is not known.
