VOTOMS and Rakuen Tsuiho reveal a joint mecha visual
Scope Dog and Arhan appear back to back in the new key visual, and there are standees at 30 locations across Japan.

Armored Trooper VOTOMS: The Gray Witch and Rakuen Tsuiho: Kokoro no Resonance have released a joint visual featuring their two mecha. The Scope Dog from VOTOMS and the Arhan from Rakuen Tsuiho stand back to back, holding their weapons. The collaboration accompanies the Japanese theatrical releases of both films in November 2026.
Two theatrical releases one week apart
Rakuen Tsuiho: Kokoro no Resonance arrives in Japanese cinemas on November 13, 2026. The sequel to the 2014 film Expelled from Paradise is once again directed by Seiji Mizushima. Gen Urobuchi writes the screenplay, Masatsugu Saito is responsible for character design, and NARASAKI composes the music.
The new VOTOMS film The Gray Witch, whose Japanese subtitle is Haiiro no Majo, follows one week later on November 20, 2026. Director Mamoru Oshii tells a story about the soldier Ash, who survives seemingly hopeless battles, and the officer Maki, who is meant to get to the bottom of her secret. The production is handled by Sunrise, supported by Production I.G. The already announced voice cast and further details about the new VOTOMS film are summarized on aninew.de.
Joint standees from October 29
According to those responsible, the collaboration came about because both films open within a week of each other and belong to the mecha genre. The key visual combines the machines of both productions without announcing a shared storyline between the films.
From October 29, 2026, standees featuring the joint visual are set to appear at a total of 30 locations in Japan. Plans include 26 cinemas and four Animate stores, among them the branches in Ikebukuro, Machida, Shibuya and Niigata. Some locations may receive the standees slightly later. The official Rakuen Tsuiho website will publish the complete overview.
For Rakuen Tsuiho: Kokoro no Resonance, the return of Angela Balzac and a new design book by Masatsugu Saito were previously announced. The new collaboration, by contrast, is primarily a joint promotion for the two imminent theatrical releases.
German theatrical releases are not mentioned in the two available announcements.
