On September 4, 2026, Spotify will release 19 more BGM tracks from Pokémon Sleep worldwide. The release is part of a global collaboration marking Pokémon's 30th anniversary and follows 34 tracks from the game that were already released on Spotify in September 2024.

19 More Tracks from Pokémon Sleep

According to Spotify Japan, the new selection consists mainly of music added to Pokémon Sleep since October 2024. It includes BGM from the in-game event New Moon Day, in which Mew and Darkrai appear. Also included is "Latias Research," an arrangement of a track from the Pokémon movie centered on Latias and Latios.

This second release wave builds directly on the game's Spotify catalog launched in 2024. Rather than simply re-bundling older tracks, Spotify is primarily adding music from content that was introduced later in Pokémon Sleep.

The new tracks complement the existing Pokémon Sleep catalog on Spotify. When selected tracks play, the Spotify app also displays matching Canvas animations: eight-second vertical loops featuring various sleeping Pokémon. The music and accompanying Canvas visuals are being made available globally as part of the collaboration.

Pokémon Sleep thus remains present beyond the app itself. Recently, a Pokéball hotel tied to Pokémon Sleep in Hokkaido was announced. In parallel, The Pokémon Company is expanding the brand in other areas as well: a Pokémon GO collaboration episode of Pokémon Horizons is planned for September, while a new Pokémon: Wildcard anime film for 2027 has been announced.

For listeners in Germany, the most important development is immediately available: the 19 additional Pokémon Sleep tracks are not restricted to Japan but are being released as part of the worldwide Spotify launch.
