KADOKAWA has announced "WOOHOO!" by Machico as the title song for the new KonoSuba game "Diese wunderbare Welt! – KonoSuba: Kono Ai Subeki Machi ni Hanei wo!". The reveal took place on September 20 on a special stage at Tokyo Game Show 2026; the PC and mobile game is still expected to release sometime in 2026, though an exact date has not yet been set.

Machico has been associated with KonoSuba for years and has sung several anime openings for the series. According to KADOKAWA, "WOOHOO!" was written specifically for "MachiSuba". Ikuko Iijima is responsible for the lyrics and composition, and Koji Mizuguchi handled the arrangement. The singer describes the piece as an energetic song meant to capture the chaotic everyday atmosphere of the game.

Original story for PC and smartphone

"MachiSuba" is announced as an "Isekai Trouble Life RPG" and tells a new story with the familiar characters from KonoSuba. Author Natsume Akatsuki supervises production, and original illustrator Kurone Mishima is involved in the project. Jun Fukushima, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi and Ai Kayano return as Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness.

The app version can already be pre-registered in Japan via the App Store and Google Play. A PC release through DMM GAMES is planned. More information is collected on the official game website.

KADOKAWA has also published the archive of the TGS stage, where Jun Fukushima and game producer Daiki Fujii presented the new information. The Tokyo Game Show is currently spotlighting several anime-related games: aninew.de recently also reported on the first gameplay of "Shangri-La Frontier" and the public premiere of "Jujutsu Kaisen RUMBLE".

Alongside the song announcement, a Japanese X campaign runs until September 28, giving away two signed Machico canvas arts. For "MachiSuba", the concrete release date remains the most important open detail.
