The TV anime Kaketa Tsuki no Mercedes showed a second promotional trailer on October 30, 2026 and confirmed four more voices for the cast. The adaptation of the fantasy light novel by Firehead is set to premiere on Japanese television in January 2027. The newly released video introduces further companions of the vampire Mercedes.

Junichi Suwabe voices Florian, who works for the adventurers' guild. Ai Kayano can be heard as Ryudia, Mercedes' mother.
The lead character Mercedes is voiced by Anna Nagase. The second promotional video shows the newly announced characters and offers further insight into the series' fantasy world. The official production has published the trailer on YouTube.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
The series is being produced by the animation studio Teddy under the direction of Kunihisa Sugishima. It is based on the light novel series Kaketa Tsuki no Mercedes written by Firehead, with illustrations by KeG. The Japanese publisher edition is released by TO Books.
Reincarnation as a Vampire
The story centers on a man from Japan who, after his death, is reborn in a fantasy world. His new life begins as Mercedes, daughter of an impoverished vampire noble family. Rather than repeating the mistakes of her previous life, she wants to make her own decisions and make the most of her opportunities.
Mercedes begins to explore the world, joins adventurers and ventures into dungeons. There she encounters strange creatures and potential allies. The new trailer particularly foregrounds the characters who accompany her journey.
Start Planned for January 2027
For the Japanese television broadcast, January 2027 has so far been given. A specific airdate or a confirmed streaming provider for Germany is not stated in the current official announcement. No episode count has been mentioned there yet either.
The announced January lineup includes further fantasy and action adaptations. Already confirmed are, among others, the anime start of SSS-Class Revival Hunter and Seishun no Yarinaoshi. For another fantasy anime for 2027, seven additional voices for No-Clipping My Way to Supremacy! were recently presented.
