Hiiragi-san Chi no Kyuketsu Jijou: TV anime announced
Miki Yoshikawa's vampire romantic comedy receives its first visual featuring Yukie and Shota.

Miki Yoshikawa's manga series "Hiiragi-san Chi no Kyuketsu Jijou" is getting a TV anime adaptation. TMS Entertainment confirmed the project on October 31, 2026 and released a first teaser visual. A broadcast date and voice cast have not yet been set.
Vampire family takes in a student
The source manga is serialized by Kodansha in the magazine "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine." It centers on middle schooler Shota Minamoto, who initially lives in an orphanage. When the Hiiragi family takes him in, he moves into a large traditional Japanese house. But on his first night he is attacked and bitten. Shota learns that the members of his new family are vampires.
The manga combines a romantic comedy with a story about three vampire sisters. For Shota, it initially remains unclear whether the family has accepted him as one of their own or whether he is meant to serve as their food.
The first anime key visual shows Yukie, the Hiiragi family's second daughter, just before Shota's neck. The release is timed to Halloween. The newly opened official X account had previously pointed to the project with an invitation from the Hiiragi family and a mysterious video.
Yoshikawa discusses the dark visual language
Miki Yoshikawa is known, among other works, for "Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches" and "A Couple of Cuckoos." For the new adaptation, she highlights the contrast between the manga's bright daytime scenes and its nighttime scenes. In particular, the atmosphere of moonlight is meant to come through in the animated version as well.
Project planning is handled by "UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS." An animation studio, director, cast, and broadcast window are not yet named in the announcement. The official anime website so far offers the basic story and the teaser image.
With this series, another ongoing manga comes to television as an anime. Other adaptations also announced include August 31st Long Summer and Mein Untergang an der Schule Gottes. No German licensing or streaming partner for "Hiiragi-san Chi no Kyuketsu Jijou" is known so far.
