The actor takes on the role of the fox robot Conrobo in the one-hour special episode on September 6.

Dori Sakurada takes the guest role of the fox robot Conrobo in the 2026 birthday special of “Doraemon”. The one-hour special will air on TV Asahi in Japan on September 6, 2026. According to Anime!Anime!, it is Sakurada's first major anime voice role.
In the special, titled “Konkon Daikonran! Yougisha wa Doraemon!?”, Doraemon himself comes under suspicion. In the 22nd century, a valuable gemstone is stolen from the estate of the wealthy Richie, while a surveillance camera apparently shows Doraemon as the perpetrator. A bounty is then placed on him, and several bounty hunters begin the pursuit.
Conrobo, voiced by Sakurada, is a fox robot from the future. He initially demands that Doraemon surrender, but after his refusal Conrobo pursues him through various eras during the ensuing chase. According to Anime!Anime!, Sakurada prepared for the role with additional rehearsals at the studio and also attended a regular recording session of the series.
