Destiny Unchain Online: Anime Launches in 2027 with Ikumi Hasegawa
A first teaser shows Crim with her magic weapon; Koichi Hatsumi directs the Studio Voil production.

The TV anime Destiny Unchain Online will launch in Japan in 2027. On October 30, 2026, the production confirmed Ikumi Hasegawa as the voice of the lead character Crim, named the responsible studio Voil, and released a first teaser featuring new animated scenes. An exact start month has not yet been announced.
Ikumi Hasegawa Voices Crim
Hasegawa takes on the role of Ko Mitsuki, a talented young gamer who appears in the virtual world under the name Crim. The voice actress is known, among other things, from Bocchi the Rock! In the new teaser, her voice can be heard as Crim for the first time.
The release visual shows the silver-haired character with red eyes, a red cloak, and a magic weapon called the Shadow Light Weapon in front of an overgrown ruin. With the trailer, the production also opens the official anime website.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
Studio Voil Produces the Adaptation
Koichi Hatsumi is directing. Seiko Takagi is in charge of series composition, and Masashi Kudo designed the characters. The music comes from Yuki Hayashi, Yuki Furuhashi and Hayato. The animation studio Voil is producing the TV series.
The source material is by resn and is published as a light novel by Kodansha. Yachimoto draws the manga adaptation, which is serialized on the Japanese service Magazine Pocket. According to the current announcement, 13 manga volumes and three light novel volumes have already been published in Japan.
A Gamer Awakens as a Vampire in a VRMMO
Ko Mitsuki is one of the especially talented players and is meant to test his father's new VRMMORPG. When he logs in, however, he does not land in the usual starting area but in an unknown border region. Although the game does not actually include a gender change, he suddenly finds himself in the body of a young vampire.
Logging out does not work either. Under the name Crim, the gamer must hold his own in the world, fight enemies, and work together with new allies. The story combines VRMMO game mechanics with fantasy battles and group fights.
A German streaming provider, an episode count, and an exact broadcast date have not been confirmed in the announcement of October 30. The 2027 anime lineup also includes the video game adaptation SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT, SSS-Class Revival Hunter, and the fantasy series No-Clipping My Way to Supremacy!.
