Touken Ranbu: ICE BLADE shows eight characters on the ice
Arena add-on tickets can still be applied for until August 16.
"Touken Ranbu - ICE BLADE -" shows all eight sword warriors together in a key visual for the first time. The first ice show in the series takes place on October 3 and 4, 2026 in the first hall of the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo.
The visual shows the skaters in the roles of Mikazuki Munechika, Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Hizamaru, Heshikiri Hasebe, Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Yamanbagiri Chougi. Among the performers are Takahito Mura and Keiji Tanaka. Kaori Sakamoto also appears as an "ice spirit" created specially for the show.
Five performances in October
According to the production side, the performance combines figure skating, acting and the voices of the well-known voice acting ensemble. The program comprises five performances: two on October 3 and three on October 4. The skaters take part in all performances, while individual voice actors appear on only one of the two days or contribute pre-recorded voices.
The story builds on the basic idea of "Touken Ranbu ONLINE". The personified swords are meant to correct a distorted history and rescue five scattered elemental spirits. Kahori Kanaya directs, the script comes from Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, and the music is by Takatsugu Muramatsu.
Arena lottery runs until mid-August
Regular seats cost 19,000 yen. Buyers of such a ticket can additionally take part in a lottery for guaranteed arena seats; this option costs a further 4,000 yen. The application period runs from July 31 to August 16, 2026. General sales as well as the announced ticket resale begin on August 30.
"Touken Ranbu" has for years been realized in various stage and event formats. Comparable expansions of well-known series into the event sector are also shown by the Sakura Wars anniversary exhibition. Another form of franchise return is offered by the remaster of two Prince of Tennis games.
