Sailor Moon: Theater Show Launches in 2027 With Three New Teams
The third performance phase ends on March 31, 2027. A new ensemble with three teams has been announced for April.
The Sailor Moon theater show "Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo" enters its fourth performance phase in April 2027. For the continuation in Tokyo, a new cast with three teams in total is planned. The current ensembles, Team Gold Moon and Team Silver Moon, end their performances on March 31, 2027.
The fourth phase concerns the live production at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel and is not a new anime season. An exact start date in April and the full cast will be announced at a later time. ORICON NEWS, among others, reported on the change on October 29, 2026.
Third Performance Phase Begins in December
Before the change of ensembles, the third phase runs from December 3, 2026 to March 31, 2027. The Theater Club eX at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel has been showing the production since April 4, 2026. Ten Sailor warriors appear in a story developed for this stage. According to the official website, the performance has English subtitles.
In the live portion of the third phase, four musical pieces are used: "Moonlight Densetsu," "Cosmic Dance," "Ai no Starshine," and "Brilliant Justice." "Cosmic Dance" is a new piece for the production. Director Go Ueki is responsible for the lyrics, and the composition comes from him and Mash Tanaka. The music of the second performance phase can be heard until the end of November.
With the end of the third phase, several members of the current cast are saying goodbye, including the previous performers of Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, and Sailor Uranus in Team Gold Moon, as well as of Sailor Pluto and Queen Valusia in Team Silver Moon.
