The new non-verbal live show based on "NARUTO" opens in February 2027 at the Minamiza Theatre in Kyoto and runs there until June. The production tells motifs from Naruto Uzumaki's youth story and deliberately avoids spoken dialogue, relying instead on physical performance, acrobatics and stage technology.

According to the official website, action, acrobatics and aerial elements are to be combined with projection mapping and illusion effects. In addition, the production uses the technical possibilities of the historic Kabuki theatre Minamiza to realise the ninjutsu effects known from the manga and anime on stage. The concept is explicitly designed as a non-verbal show and is intended to be accessible to international audiences without Japanese language skills.

Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi take centre stage

Yuri Takahashi and Ryuma Aomi are announced for the lead role of Naruto Uzumaki. REI takes on Sasuke Uchiha, Yui Oikawa plays Sakura Haruno and HIROMA appears as Kakashi Hatake. Go Ueki directs, while Neil Dorward is involved as Global Creative Consultant. The dramatic structure comes from Shinjiro Kameda.

The character visuals now published show the four central figures in the production's costumes. Specific performance dates for February and March 2027 have already been published; advance ticket sales for these performances began on 25 August 2026. Dates and ticket sales for performances from April are to follow later.

The show is not a new anime production but an independent stage adaptation of the series created by Masashi Kishimoto. It is staged by its own production committee and is produced with the support of Shueisha and the Japan 2.5-Dimensional Musical Association. No date for performances outside Japan has been announced so far.
