My Hero Academia: Free VRChat Exhibition Launches
The 10th-anniversary exhibition "Hero-tachi no Ashiato" runs from August 28 to September 27 and is also accessible without a VR headset.

The anime series My Hero Academia is marking its tenth anniversary with a free exhibition in VRChat. "Hero-tachi no Ashiato" opens on August 28, 2026 at 12 Japan time and runs until September 27, 2026 at 23 Japan time. Organizer Anique describes the project as a walk-through retrospective of the anime adaptation's history.
The exhibition is being built in the Anique Museum inside VRChat. Visitors can move through rooms of U.A. High School and other locations from the series, with the stations tracing the heroes' path. A dedicated VR headset is not required: according to the organizer, besides VR devices, Windows PCs as well as smartphones and tablets running iOS or Android are supported.
Unlike many physical anime events in Japan, the anniversary exhibition is therefore directly reachable for fans outside the country as well. Recently, aninew already announced the My Hero Academia short film "I am a hero too" as another part of the anniversary activities. Other major series are also currently being accompanied by exhibitions, such as the anniversary showcase for Fullmetal Alchemist and Yomi no Tsugai.
New Visuals and Shop Within the Exhibition
A new key visual featuring Deku and other characters was created for "Hero-tachi no Ashiato." Anique has also presented the accompanying merchandise line. The virtual museum includes a shop area where visitors can view the designs and sizes of the products; items are then ordered through the Anique Shop.
The ordering period matches the exhibition's run from August 28 to September 27. According to the organizer, for every 3,300 yen spent, a randomly selected bromide card from six designs is also included. Visiting the actual VRChat exhibition, however, carries no admission fee.
