Midnight Grand Orchestra: December concerts become free
The performances on December 5 and 6 in Chiba recreate an earlier live show, combining pre-recorded vocals with a band playing live.
Midnight Grand Orchestra is making the two "Midnight Mission" concerts on December 5 and 6, 2026 at the LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba free of charge. The music project of VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei and producer TAKU INOUE announced the change on October 28. All tickets already sold will be refunded.
Full refunds and benefits for previous buyers
The two dates were originally paid events. The concerts had been announced on October 24, and regular ticket sales had begun on October 25. Only three days later, the project decided on free admission.
According to the statement from the label TOY'S FACTORY, as many people as possible should be able to experience this experimental concert format. Anyone who has already bought a ticket will get their money back and will be given preferred access to a front area on the day of the event. The merchandise benefits originally associated with the two-day passes and S tickets remain in place despite the refund.
How exactly the refund will be processed, within what period it must be requested, and how interested people can obtain spots for the free concerts will be published later on the official concert website and on the project's social media channels.
Old performance meets new live music
"Midnight Mission" is part of the new "RE Series," in which Midnight Grand Orchestra aims to recreate earlier concert experiences. The first date revisits the original show of February 20, 2024 at Toyosu PIT.
For the new performance, the original stage plans, the design with LED elements, and recordings of Hoshimachi Suisei's singing and movements are being used. The band, however, plays its instruments live. The singer therefore does not perform fully new live vocals: it is a combination of a stored performance with a new musical rendition.
Hoshimachi Suisei and TAKU INOUE had already worked together on the single "GUM & DROP". A joint live show by Suisei and tuki. has also been announced for December. Further music events in the virtual scene include Hatsune Miku's appearance at COUNTDOWN JAPAN.
