The TV anime Iruma-kun: If Episode of Mafia premieres on January 4, 2027 on Japanese television. NHK will broadcast the twelve episodes of this official spin-off of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun on Mondays at 11 p.m. on NHK General. Along with the broadcast date, the production team has released a new key visual showing six main characters in mafia attire.

Familiar Voices in a Different World

The series retains the voice actors of several central characters from the original Iruma-kun anime. Ayumu Murase again voices Iruma, and Mitsuki Saiga plays Opera. They are joined by Daisuke Ono as Naberius Kalego, Ryohei Kimura as Asmodeus Alice, Ayaka Asai as Valac Clara, and Saori Hayami as Ameri. The new story, however, places the familiar characters in different roles and a considerably more criminal environment.

In the story, the helpful Iruma lives in a poor neighborhood. One day he tends to a severely injured older man. This man turns out to be Sullivan, the leader of the mafia organization Babil. Sullivan takes Iruma in as his grandson, and the boy must find his place within the organization and protect his new family. The anime version is based on the manga by hiro者, which is built on an idea by Osamu Nishi, the creator of the main series.
