The “Hetalia 20th Anniversary Exhibition WorldFesta” has received a new key visual and will take place in autumn 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka. The exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Hidekaz Himaruya's manga series and brings numerous characters together on the official visual.
Original drawings and photo spots
According to the official event website, the exhibition will present hand-drawn pencil works and color illustrations by Hidekaz Himaruya. The show is supplemented by a life-size figure of Italy, photo spots and an area with merchandise produced specifically for the event.
The Tokyo leg runs from October 17 to 28, 2026 in Exhibition Hall A at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The exhibition then moves on to Osaka, where it can be seen from November 7 to 23, 2026 at the Namba Parks Museum. Both venues have fixed time slots; general admission costs ¥2,300 in advance and ¥2,500 at the box office.
For Tokyo, the advance ticket lottery began on August 2 and ends on August 16, 2026. The corresponding application period for Osaka runs from September 5 to 13. In addition, tickets are offered with a passport case set; all visitors also receive one of 13 randomly distributed mini shikishi cards.
The exhibition joins several anniversary events for long-running series. Recently, a Sakura Wars exhibition marking its 30th anniversary and an exhibition on “The Apothecary Diaries” in Tokyo were announced and opened, respectively.
Further details about the works on display and the event merchandise are to follow via the official website and the exhibition's X account. A venue outside Japan has not been announced so far.
