Grand Prix song to be performed at Magical Mirai

One winner is planned for the Grand Prix, along with several runners-up. The winning track will be performed live at Magical Mirai 2027. Crypton also names, among other prizes, a pair of tickets to the performance or, alternatively, an official merchandise package, a virtual singer software, and 100,000 yen in SONICWIRE points for the winner. For the runners-up, a software package and 30,000 yen in SONICWIRE points each are planned. The results are expected to be announced around March 2027.

The contest has been part of Magical Mirai's annual program since 2017. In 2026, the Grand Prix track "こたえて" by imie feat. Hatsune Miku was performed live at all three venues, according to Crypton; the five runner-up songs were played, among other places, as music in the exhibition areas.

In 2027, Magical Mirai will take place in July and August in Hiroshima, Osaka and Tokyo. Hiroshima is part of the tour schedule for the first time; the three cities and the expansion to Hiroshima have already been announced. The coming year also marks the format's 15th year. Another recent music release featuring Miku is the BEYOND BORDERs single "Light", which came out at the end of August.
