"Magical Mirai 2027" featuring Hatsune Miku will take place in July and August 2027, and for the first time also in Hiroshima. Alongside Osaka and Tokyo, a city in Japan's Chugoku region is now part of the annual concert and exhibition tour for the first time.

Crypton Future Media and TOKYO MX confirmed the three host cities following the conclusion of "Magical Mirai 2026". Specific dates, venues and ticket information for 2027 are not yet set. The official event website so far only names the July to August period and Hiroshima, Osaka and Tokyo.

Hiroshima joins the existing route

Since 2013, "Magical Mirai" has combined 3DCG live performances by Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO with an exhibition around the associated creative culture. In 2026, the event took place over nine days in Hamamatsu, Osaka and Tokyo. According to Crypton, more than 90,000 visitors attended in total; since the series began, the cumulative attendance stands at over 670,000.

The 2026 closing event is still available as an archive stream until September 5 at 18 JST. That corresponds to 11 CEST. According to the organizer, ticket sales end two hours earlier. Listed platforms are PIA LIVE STREAM, Lawson LIVE STREAMING, U-NEXT, ABEMA, Rakuten TV and NicoNico.

Miku Expo comes to Germany in 2026

For German fans, there are two dates in Germany ahead of "Magical Mirai 2027": the official MIKU EXPO Europe tour stops at the Velodrom in Berlin on November 17, 2026, and at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf on November 20. The tour also goes to London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris, among other cities.

aninew.de recently also published a report on the new Hatsune Miku single "Light". The growing presence of virtual performers and their communities is also reflected in current developments from the VTuber scene around Hololive.
