Doraemon: New Feature Film Takes 2027 Audiences to 19th-Century London
Rushio Moriyama directs and Makoto Ueda writes the screenplay for the new time-travel story.

The new Doraemon feature film "Doraemon: Nobita no Joki Jikansha" premieres in spring 2027 in Japan and moves the adventure to 19th-century London. The official film website and the Doraemon Channel describe a completely new story in which Doraemon, Nobita and their friends travel through time from 21st-century Japan.
At the center is the titular "Joki Jikansha," a steam-powered time machine. The released key visual shows Doraemon in a top hat and cape on a small steam locomotive in front of large gears. The official teaser also picks up the time-travel motif and, alongside well-known secret gadgets such as the time machine, shows first sketches of the new vehicle.
