The second season of "Dark Gathering" premieres in 2027 on Japanese television and moves the story to Kyoto. As Anime!Anime! reports, the continuation picks up at chapter 34 of the manga, which is included in the ninth volume. A precise start date has not yet been announced.

The new announcement also confirms that the second season continues the journey to Kyoto. There, Yayoi Hozuki, Keitaro Gentoga and Eiko Hozuki once again face particularly dangerous spirits. The horror visual published alongside it shows the ghost of the so-called A-Dam in a dark control corridor.

OLM continues the anime adaptation

The first season of "Dark Gathering" aired from July to December 2023. Hiroshi Ikehata again directs, series composition is by Shigeru Murakoshi and character design by Yuri Ichinose. OLM remains responsible for the animation. The main cast includes Yu Sasahara as Yayoi Hozuki, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Keitaro Gentoga, Kana Hanazawa as Eiko Hozuki and Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo.

The official website now lists the second season explicitly with the note "2027" in its program information. The current announcement does not yet name a specific broadcast date or a streaming partner for Germany.

With this timing, "Dark Gathering" is among the already confirmed continuations for 2027. "Spice and Wolf" also receives a second season in 2027, while "Skip and Loafer" returns in April 2027. For "Dark Gathering", further information is to follow via the official website, the series' social channels and the magazine Jump SQ.
