Anime!Anime! poll: Nami and Ushio Kofune share first place

Nami from One Piece and Ushio Kofune from Summer Time Rendering share first place in the current Anime!Anime! reader poll on female anime characters in swimsuits. Both receive around six percent of the votes, while Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling reaches third place with about five percent.

Anime!Anime! conducted the poll from July 28 to August 4, 2026. A total of 168 people took part. According to the evaluation, around 60 percent of participants were men and about 40 percent women; by age group, about 25 percent were under 20 and around 40 percent were in their thirties.

Ushio Kofune is especially strongly associated in Summer Time Rendering with her dark blue swimsuit, which also appears on a key visual for the series. Nami, in turn, wears various swimsuit and bikini looks across different story arcs in One Piece. The series was also recently featured on aninew.de with the One Piece Premier Summer 2026 at Universal Studios Japan theme.

Marin Kitagawa follows in third place. Anime!Anime! points in particular to the second TV episode of My Dress-Up Darling, in which Marin wears a black bikini while being measured for a cosplay costume.

The top five is completed by Mahiru Shiina from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten in fourth place and Ran Mori from Detective Conan in fifth place. Further votes went, among others, to Lemon Yakishio from Too Many Losing Heroines!, Atri from ATRI -My Dear Moments- and Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The vote is an editorial reader poll and not a representative survey. Anime!Anime! runs the format annually around Japan's “Day of Swimming.”
