Madoka Magica: New Balloon Collection Launches in October
Six new visuals for the film "Walpurgisnacht Rising" are being released, and Animate is running a three-week bonus campaign alongside it.

A new merchandise collection for "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht Rising-" will be released at Animate on October 24, 2026. The focus is on new illustrations of Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Mami Tomoe and Nagisa Momoe, each shown with balloons and outfits designed specially for the campaign.
The range includes, among other things, acrylic stands, holographic character badges, stickers and acrylic keychains with ribbons. According to Nijimen, the main items will each be released in six variants, matching the six characters shown. In Japan, the acrylic stands cost 1,980 yen each, the stickers 550 yen and the keychains 1,650 yen.
Animate Fair Runs Until Mid-November
At the same time, a "Balloon Fair" starts on October 24 at Animate stores in Japan and in the Animate online shop. The campaign runs until November 15, 2026. When purchasing or reserving certain "Madoka Magica" products, customers receive one of six bromides as a bonus, depending on the order value or product type. The motif cannot be freely chosen.
The collection explicitly refers to the new cinema film "Walpurgisnacht Rising". The film is the sequel to "Rebellion" and is set to premiere in Japan on August 28, 2026. It is again produced by Shaft. The sources used do not currently name a German cinema release.
Aninew recently also reported on another Japanese anime cinema release: "Ave Mujica prima aurora" opens on October 16.
