The Coffee manga comes to cinemas in Japan on November 27 with JO of &TEAM.

New trailer shows Kabo's path into the dance scene
Kaboku Kotani, known as Kabo, stammers and avoids being in the spotlight. When he watches Hikari Wanda dancing when she thinks no one is looking, he begins to dance himself. The new trailer shows his initial uncertainty, his training and encounters with other dancers. It also features the dance battles that play an important role in his development.
Wanda is played by Anji Ikehata. Kabo joins the group TEAM ON, led by On Miyao. This role is taken by Kira Yamaguchi of Girls². RAN of MAZZEL plays the experienced dancer Iori Itsukushima, who introduces Kabo to dance battles. TSUKKI appears as the breakdancer Gaku Kabeya and Aloha Takamatsu as the rival Usen Takumi.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
Manga, anime and film music
The source is the manga by Coffee, published by Kodansha in the magazine Monthly Afternoon. In 2025, Wandance was already adapted as a TV anime. The film now brings the story to the cinema screen with real actors and actual dance performances. According to the production, the actors trained for several months with professional dancers for the choreography.
Naoya Kusaba directs, and the screenplay is by Keiichi Kobayashi. Charisma Kantaro is responsible for overall dance supervision. The title song is "For us" by &TEAM; additional music includes the film song "Opening" by Ed Sheeran.
With this live-action adaptation, Wandance joins a series of current manga film projects. The live-action film of Mashle: Magic and Muscles and the live-action film of Blue Lock have also been reported on. For Wandance, only the Japanese cinema release on November 27 has been confirmed so far; no German release date has been announced.
