The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) premieres its third anime season in April 2027. The production team confirmed the broadcast month in Japan on November 6, 2026, and at the same time released a new teaser visual and a first PV for the continuation.
Kyotaro and Anna after the season finale
The image shows Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada sitting on two swings at sunset. The illustration picks up the starting point of the continuation: at the end of the second season, the two classmates have become a couple. The new season tells of their relationship and the people around them.
The released teaser PV includes scenes with classmate Moeko Sekine, among others. Kyotaro's older sister Kana Ichikawa and her bandmate Akira Momoyama are also seen. Kinoshita, a friend from Kyotaro's elementary school days, is added as well. At the end of the video, Anna makes her relationship with Kyotaro public.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
The PV comes directly from the announcement on the official anime website. The specific broadcast day, the number of episodes, and a German streaming date have not yet been announced.
Shin-Ei Animation and the manga source
The production studio is named as Shin-Ei Animation. The team includes Hiroaki Akagi as chief director, Dali Chen as director, Jukki Hanada for series composition and script, and Masato Katsumata for character design. Kensuke Ushio composes the music. Shun Horie voices Kyotaro, and Hina Youmiya voices Anna.
The first anime season aired from April to June 2023, the second from January to March 2024. In February 2026, a theatrical film followed in Japan, featuring a re-edited version of the story so far along with additional scenes.
The source manga is by Norio Sakurai and ended in September 2026 after a run of about eight years. According to MANTANWEB, the manga series reached a total circulation of more than 7.5 million copies. In Germany, the manga is published by Dokico.
Other love stories are also receiving new anime adaptations: the lead roles of Fall in Love, You False Angels were recently revealed. For You and I Are Polar Opposites, the date of the finale has been set; in addition, an adaptation of Otaku Vampire's Love Bite has been announced.
