Piccoma: Lulumiru BL e-book shop launches with dedicated couple search
Japan's new shop lets users filter BL works by character pairings and unwanted themes.

Kakao Piccoma opened the digital Boys Love book shop Lulumiru in Japan on November 5, 2026. The operator of the manga and novel platform Piccoma offers exclusively BL works there. A search by character combinations and a filter for excluding unwanted themes are among the central features.
Searching by pairs rather than just titles
The so-called Seme×Uke search lets readers set the traits of both characters separately. Options include appearance, personality and the relationship between the characters, among others. The shop then displays matching works together with a percentage match value and descriptions of the characters.
Another search sorts the catalogue by tags such as relationship type, style and atmosphere. Individual keywords can be explicitly excluded. The shop additionally offers reviews, editorial pieces on BL titles and interviews with authors. Nijimen also reports exclusively offered Korean and Chinese BL works and rotating free reading offers.
The service is used via web browsers on smartphones, tablets and computers. Registration is free; books are purchased individually. According to Nijimen, Lulumiru is restricted to the Japanese market; a launch for Germany is not announced. The official shop page contains the currently valid terms of use.
Launch discount and advertising in Tokyo
According to Kakao Piccoma, anyone who newly registers by November 30, 2026 receives a 50 percent discount coupon for the catalogue. It can be used multiple times until December 31, 2026. From November 9 to 22, the provider also plans large-format advertising visuals featuring BL characters in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district.
Lulumiru expands Piccoma's offering with a distribution channel tailored specifically to BL readers. Platforms play different roles in the digital distribution of manga: aninew.de has already reported on a security glitch at the comic service Cmoa. Aoharu Once More also shows how BL manga is being developed in parallel for new animation formats. Another form of cross-platform exploitation is the Webtoon anime cooperation between Crunchyroll and HAYATE.
