Re:Zero Season 4: Recapture Arc Kicks Off with Episode 78
The second part of the season begins on August 12 and comprises eight episodes.
"Re – Starting Life in Another World" Season 4 continues on August 12, 2026, with the Recapture Arc. The second part comprises eight episodes and begins with Episode 78; KADOKAWA confirms the start date as well as the split of the season into eleven episodes of the Loss Arc and eight episodes of the Recapture Arc.
The fourth season thus resumes after the break that followed the end of the Loss Arc. The focus remains on Subaru and his companions in the Pleiades watchtower. The official series description cites as the starting point the events of the battles in Priestella: Rem remains asleep, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius his name. In search of a way to reverse these losses, the journey leads to the Sage Shaula and to the tower in the Augria sand dunes.
Eight Episodes Until the Season Finale
KADOKAWA lists Season 4 with 19 episodes in total. The Loss Arc started on April 8 and comprises eleven episodes; the Recapture Arc begins on August 12 with a further eight. In Japan the series airs on AT-X and TOKYO MX, among others; ABEMA and d Anime Store are among the earliest streaming services and make new episodes available Wednesdays from 10 p.m. Japan time.
The PV for the second part, already released, shows the upcoming conflicts within the group and new enemies. The opening with Episode 78 thus also marks the beginning of the final block of the fourth season. An overview of the previously released PV is also offered in the original version of this article; further announced fantasy productions can be found in the article on Shozen.
A German simulcast for the Recapture Arc is not mentioned in the Japanese announcements evaluated here.
