The traveling exhibition features production materials, a recreated dining room from Mimiko's house, and scenes from "Amefuri Circus no Maki."

The traveling exhibition for Panda Kopanda runs at Nagoya PARCO from December 12, 2026, to January 31, 2027. As PARCO announced in an official statement, the exhibition will move into the PARCO HALL on the eighth floor of the West Building and will present, alongside historical materials, recreated scenes from both anime films.

The traveling exhibition for Panda Kopanda includes a recreated dining area from Mimiko's house, along with production materials.

Visitors can see vintage advertising posters and merchandise, as well as settings and imageboards from the production. One section recreates the dining room in Mimiko's house. The exhibition also includes a large Papanda installation and several photo spots.

A separate section is dedicated to Panda Kopanda: Amefuri Circus no Maki. It features, among other things, the circus train and the bed used as a boat in the film. The photos published by PARCO come from earlier stops of the traveling exhibition; the actual setup in Nagoya may differ.

Exhibition Runs Until the End of January 2027

The "Panda Kopanda-ten – Nagoya PARCO no Maki" is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On January 31, admission ends earlier and the exhibition closes at 6 p.m. Advance tickets cost ¥1,400 for adults, and tickets at the door cost ¥1,600. Advance sales begin September 12, 2026.

The exhibition has been touring Japan since the film's 50th anniversary in 2022. TMS Entertainment confirmed in early September that seven stops have taken place so far. The new Nagoya edition thus falls within the already announced 55-year project, which starts October 1, 2026, and is set to continue through 2028.

55-Year Project Includes Further Events

The anniversary program also includes the "Panda Kopanda Book Circus" at several Japanese bookstores, as well as a collaboration with Lawson. The first film was made in 1972 under the direction of Isao Takahata, based on an idea and screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki; Amefuri Circus no Maki followed in 1973.

Other anniversary exhibitions covered by aninew.de include the free VRChat exhibition for My Hero Academia. Most recently, aninew.de also reported on another long-running anime franchise with the 30th anniversary Pokémon celebration featuring an official music video.
