Otomate Party 2026: Hakuoki and two new titles unveiled

At Otomate Party 2026 on September 13, Idea Factory announced three new romance adventures: "Hakuoki Shinkai Kiwami," "Kimi wa Yukima ni Negau -Koi Musubi-," and "Shinso no Doppelt – Kiketsu Kaoru Kuro Sagiri no Itsuwari –." The publisher released official teasers for all three titles. The announcement does not yet give concrete release dates.

Hakuoki comes to Nintendo Switch 2

"Hakuoki Shinkai Kiwami" was announced as a title marking Otomate's 20th anniversary and will be released for Nintendo Switch 2. Idea Factory describes the project as bringing together the stories told so far on Nintendo Switch and as a conclusion to the "Hakuoki" series. In terms of content, the series remains set in the Bakumatsu era and centered on the Shinsengumi.

Fan disc and new retro romance adventure

"Kimi wa Yukima ni Negau -Koi Musubi-" is a fan disc project for the existing "Kimi wa Yukima ni Negau." The story picks up after the ending in which the protagonist and her partner became a couple. In addition, Idea Factory announces new encounters, a mysterious young man, and another chapter surrounding the supernatural events in Edo. The game is planned for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite.

With "Shinso no Doppelt – Kiketsu Kaoru Kuro Sagiri no Itsuwari –," a completely new romance adventure also arrives. The story is set in 1947, in early postwar Japan. It centers on a young woman from a good family and several possible fiancés who meet at a secluded Western-style estate. Idea Factory highlights lies, truths, and hidden motives as central themes. This title is also announced for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.

Idea Factory currently gives no information about a release in Europe or German-language text. Comparable narrative Switch titles were recently also covered by aninew.de: the two Prince-of-Tennis-Romance-Adventures were re-released in summer, while the mystery adventure "Hon to Kagi no Kisetsu" is announced for Switch and Steam.
