The first reproduction-original exhibition for the manga "Made in Abyss" opens on October 24, 2026 at Seibu Ikebukuro in Tokyo. "Manga Made in Abyss" runs in two sections until November 29 and shows, alongside reproduced original pages, working material from author Akihito Tsukushi.

Nijimen reports that the exhibition shows reproductions of the manga manuscripts for the first time on a scale beyond the page excerpts later printed. This is meant to make visible lines and drawing areas that are normally not seen in the finished volume. Added to this are materials from Tsukushi's creative process as well as photo spots that recreate relics and well-known scenes from the series.

The official exhibition page notes that some of the content shown comes from sections not yet adapted as an anime. Visitors should therefore expect spoilers beyond the current state of the anime version.

Two Exhibition Phases and Osaka Later

The first section runs from October 24 to November 11, 2026. After a setup day on November 12, the second section follows from November 13 to November 29; individual exhibits will be swapped out and additional merchandise added. The venue is the annex building of Seibu Ikebukuro on the first floor and first basement level. Admission in Tokyo costs 2,500 yen. After the exhibition ends, a further stop in Osaka has been announced, for which no dates have yet been published.

The show begins one day after the Japanese theatrical release of "Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi" and is officially planned as a companion event to the film. aninew had already presented the main trailer with title song and new cast members for the new cinema project. The exhibition itself, by contrast, focuses on Tsukushi's manga and its artistic creation.
