Junket Bank: Anime premiere postponed due to production problems
The TV start originally planned for October 5 will not get a new date for the time being.

The TV anime "Junket Bank" will not start as planned in October 2026. The official anime website confirms the postponement due to problems with the production schedule; a new broadcast date has not yet been set.
The series was originally due to begin on October 5 on Japanese television. The production side explains that additional production time is needed to realize the world and the strengths of the manga source. The announcement comes less than a month before the previously planned start. Once a new date is set, it will be announced via the anime's official website and social media channels.
KAI-YOU also reports an unusually clear statement from the official manga account. According to it, staff at the actual anime production had worked professionally on "Junket Bank", and the original manga side had also been involved in supervision. However, the cause of the current situation was considerable problems with progress and schedule management on the part of the production committee. After talks with the original manga side, this management structure has already been reorganized.
Anime!Anime! further picks up a statement from mangaka Ikkou Tanaka. He apologizes for the postponement but, out of consideration for the creators involved, does not want to elaborate on the causes himself and refers to the official manga account's explanation for a more detailed account. At the same time, he expects the additional time to benefit the quality of the anime production.
CUE produces the TV adaptation
CUE is handling the animation. Seiji Kishi directs, Makoto Fukami is responsible for series composition, Masanori Shino for character design, and Taku Iwasaki for music. The official website currently shows no new start date and no information about a streaming partner for Germany.
The postponement thus abruptly changes the October lineup that had already been firmly scheduled. Other autumn premieres such as Shirotan on October 3 and TANK CHAIR on October 4 remain scheduled as of now. Meanwhile, the industry continues to be preoccupied with the question of production capacity and organizational structures; most recently, KADOKAWA grouped five anime studios under Studio One Base.
"Junket Bank" is based on the eponymous manga by Ikkou Tanaka, which is serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Young Jump." The anime production will only name a replacement date once further planning has been completed.
