On November 1, 2026, a total of 13 new character posters were released for the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, featuring the third season "Culling Game – Part 1". The illustrations show characters from the "Culling Game" story arc in specially drawn artwork. The release is confirmed by the series' official website.
Familiar and new characters in focus
The characters presented include Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zenin, Yuta Okkotsu and Hiromi Higuruma. Yuki Tsukumo, Master Tengen, Naoya Zenin, Reggie Star, Kenjaku and Ryomen Sukuna can also be seen in the published visuals. Each poster introduces the characters individually, combining their portraits with colored backgrounds and the third season's logo.
The illustrations relate to the already aired first part of the Culling Game. A new season or an additional broadcast date is not announced with this poster release. The first part remains available in Japan on several streaming platforms.
The story arc and production
The third season continues the events of the Shibuya Incident. After the deadly contest organized by Kenjaku, Yuji Itadori and his allies enter various enclosed battle zones. They search for a way to free Satoru Gojo and to rescue Megumi Fushiguro's sister Tsumiki. Higuruma and Reggie Star are among the antagonists the characters encounter along the way.
The anime adaptation is based on the manga by Gege Akutami. Shota Goshozono directs the third season, while Hiroshi Seko is responsible for series composition and scripts. The character designs come from Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa; the animation is produced by MAPPA. Further production drawings for the season can also be seen at the MAPPA EXPO exhibition.
The second part of the Culling Game has already been announced as the fourth anime season. A concrete release date is still pending. A Sukuna teaser visual was previously released for it. In parallel, the series continues with the spin-off manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, for which an exhibition shows new designs.
