Everyone's Darling Has a Secret: Anime Premieres in April 2027
GEKKOU is producing the manga adaptation under the direction of Hikaru Sato; an official teaser shows the school romance.
The TV anime Everyone's Darling Has a Secret will premiere in April 2027 in Japan and will be streamed simulcast on Crunchyroll. For the adaptation of Kashiko Amane's school romance, a first official teaser PV, the production team, and four main voice actors have been announced. The Japanese title is Houkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru.
Between Tutoring and Idol Life
The story centers on Hizashi Hiruno, a first-year student at a prestigious high school. A wrongly filled-in exam answer forces him into tutoring, despite his diligent preparation. There he meets his classmate Rei Kuromiya, who not only earns top grades but is also a successful idol.
Time together after lessons brings Hiruno and Kuromiya closer. In the process, Hiruno discovers a side of his classmate that she hides from those around her. The story combines the everyday life of an idol group with a school romantic comedy. Alongside Rei, Sakura Akai and Sora Konno belong to their group Aiiro Impulse.
The first teaser was presented in October at the New York Comic Con 2026. Crunchyroll released an officially subtitled version of it. The video shows the central characters and gives a first impression of the anime adaptation.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
Studio GEKKOU and Four Confirmed Voices
Animation production is handled by GEKKOU. Hikaru Sato directs, while Fumihiko Shimo is responsible for series composition and scripts. The character design comes from Kibidango 14-go. The music is composed by Satoru Kosaki and MONACA, and production is overseen by Ryo Aizawa of StarryCube.
Reiji Kawashima voices Hizashi Hiruno, and Hikaru Tono takes on the role of Rei Kuromiya. Other members of the idol group are voiced by Iori Noguchi of =LOVE as Sakura Akai and Ami Maeshima as Sora Konno.

The manga of the same name by Kashiko Amane is published by Hakusensha on the Manga Park and Young Animal Web platforms. On October 29, 2026, the tenth collected volume was released in Japan. Issue 20 of Young Animal reprinted the first chapter to mark the anime announcement.
A specific broadcast date and episode count have not yet been determined. Crunchyroll has already been announced for the streaming release. Further anime about music groups can be found in coverage of BanG Dream! Ave Mujica and IDOLY PRIDE; another school romance planned for 2027 is Fall in Love, You False Angels.
