Charisma: Anime premieres January 7, 2027 with new PV

The TV anime Charisma premieres in Japan on January 7, 2027. To mark the fifth anniversary of the multimedia project, a new teaser with first scenes from the series was released on November 1. In addition, two more voice actors and the launch of an accompanying short anime have been confirmed.

New teaser and exact broadcast time

The series will air every Thursday from January 7 at 11 p.m. Japan time on TBS's nationwide network with 28 affiliated stations. The specific broadcast details were presented at the anniversary event Charismania in Tokyo.

The new PV shows the seven residents of Charisma House in the animated everyday life of their unusual shared household. The characters try to develop their different forms of "Charisma" further. The project first became known through audio drama stories and music releases on YouTube before the TV adaptation was announced.

Two more voice actors and the production team

Shinnosuke Tachibana takes on the role of Soemon Nakagami, and Tomohiro Ohno voices Hiiragi Torame. The already known core cast includes Yuki Ono as Fumiya Ito, Masahiro Yamanaka as Rikai Kusanagi and Katsumi Fukuhara as Iori Motohashi. The central household is rounded out by Kenta Hosoda, Saku Hyuga, Genki Okawa and Tomohisa Hashizume.

The director is Joji Furuta. Shu Matsubara, who was already involved in the original project idea, is responsible for series composition and scripts. Haru Watanabe designs the anime characters, while PIERROT FILMS produces the animation. The studio is also connected to the BLEACH franchise, for which further information is already available regarding the most recent anime finale.

Short anime and new song already in November

Before the series premiere, a short anime will run from November 4, 2026 within the Japanese TBS program Yoru no Brunch. On the same day, the song "Mitemite Anime no Charisma", which can also be heard in the teaser, will be released digitally. The music comes from the environment of the producer project EVIL LINE RECORDS.

This gives another Japanese music and character project an anime adaptation. The report on Bandai Namco's new band project with a voice actress audition describes a comparable expansion of a music franchise.

On December 6, 2026, a preview screening of the first two episodes with the main cast is also planned in Tokyo. A German streaming provider for Charisma has not yet been announced.
