Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc: Prime Video premiere on September 19
Amazon Japan has released a new visual alongside the streaming announcement for Chainsaw Man and Bomb.

"Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc" premieres on Prime Video in Japan on September 19, 2026, as a title for Prime members. Amazon Japan announces the streaming release exactly one year after the film's Japanese cinema release; the announcement does not state whether the same date also applies to Germany.
The film hit Japanese cinemas on September 19, 2025, and continues the TV series. According to Amazon Japan, "Reze Arc" has grossed more than 29.7 billion yen worldwide as of June 19, 2026. A new visual was also released for the streaming announcement, showing Chainsaw Man and Bomb in battle against a nighttime cityscape.
Kenshi Yonezu Station accompanies the streaming launch
To mark the first anniversary of the cinema release, the time-limited "Kenshi Yonezu Station" is also running on Kenshi Yonezu's official YouTube channel. The nonstop broadcast begins on September 18 at 8 p.m. Japan time and ends on September 23 at 11 p.m.
According to Anime!Anime!, the program includes several versions of "IRIS OUT," among them the music video, the film's opening sequence, and the performance at the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. "JANE DOE" by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada also runs as an anime and live-action MV. Added to this are various versions of the TV anime opening "KICK BACK" as well as further music videos and live recordings from Yonezu's catalog.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
MAPPA adapted the Reze Arc
The source material comes from Tatsuki Fujimoto. Tatsuya Yoshihara directed, Hiroshi Seko wrote the screenplay, and the animation was produced by MAPPA. The focus is on Denji, who gets caught in a new conflict after an encounter with Reze. Denji is voiced by Kikunosuke Toya and Reze by Reina Ueda.
Kenshi Yonezu's "IRIS OUT" serves as the title song. The ending song "JANE DOE" comes from Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada; in addition, Maximum the Hormones' "Hawatari 2-oku Centi" is used as an insert song.
Prime Video has so far confirmed availability in Japan on September 19 only. No separate announcement for the German-speaking market is currently available. It therefore remains open whether the film will be available in the Prime subscription in Germany on the same day or whether a regional staggering will follow.
International distribution is also taking concrete shape for other current anime films: "SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT" premieres on September 4, while international distribution rights are already set for Makoto Shinkai's next theatrical film. In addition, the MAPPA EXPO is showing several of the studio's works, including "Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc".
