Tomie x Hello Kitty: Horror figure to release in May 2027

Good Smile Company will release the figure "Gyaru Tomie x Hello Kitty" in May 2027. The roughly 140-millimeter model combines the manga figure from Junji Ito's horror series Tomie with motifs of the Sanrio character Hello Kitty and costs ¥18,800 in Japan.

Manga look meets Hello Kitty details

The painted plastic figure belongs to Good Smile Company's G.S.Collection line and ships with its own base. Tomie wears mostly gray clothing, while red bows and several small Hello Kitty elements provide deliberate color accents. Her bag, mobile phone and other accessories also pick up the collaboration.

For the skirt, the paint job uses a pattern reminiscent of screentone from printed manga. The almost monochrome design thus follows the black-and-white look of the original without covering up the Sanrio motifs. According to the product information, the modeling comes from Keiki Fujimoto, and the painting was developed by Emi Hoshina. The GSC production team supported the realization.

The figure turns a previously published collaboration illustration into a three-dimensional model for the first time.
