The Apothecary Diaries: New Escape Game Starting in 2027
SCRAP is developing an original crime story in which Maomao and Jinshi help search for an antidote.
The Apothecary Diaries is getting a new live escape game with a specially written story. The event "殺意潜む祝宴からの脱出" starts on January 28, 2027 at Tokyo Mystery Circus and is subsequently set to take place at further venues in Japan. The organizer is puzzle-game specialist SCRAP.
A Poisoning at a Wedding Banquet
The story leads Maomao and Jinshi to a wedding ceremony. During the celebration, the bride collapses after being poisoned. Maomao steps into the bride's role to buy time. The participants instead take on the task of apprentice apothecaries: they must identify the poison, prepare an antidote and find out who is behind the act.
Clues can be found in books on medicinal remedies and in the surroundings of the play space. During the investigation, participants work together with Maomao, Jinshi and Gaoshun. SCRAP promises an original plot as well as voices of the characters recorded specifically for the event. This is the second collaboration with the anime series, after a puzzle tour through Yokohama's Chinatown was already offered.
The organizer also provides an official promotional clip for the new event:
