Sheya: First Art Book Releases in Japan in August
The volume brings together more than 200 works, including material for the animated music video “WOLO” and new illustrations.

Sheya’s first art book published in Japan releases on August 21, 2026, from PIE International. The book is titled “Sheya画集 失わず、忘れず” and gathers more than 200 works by the illustrator and animation director.
As KAI-YOU reports, the volume includes, among other things, accompanying illustrations for Sheya’s animated music video “WOLO.” The video brought the artist to a wider audience and, according to the publisher, reached more than one million views. In addition, works from the self-published books “Yesterday Once More” and “The Blue Boat,” newly drawn series, and selected individual illustrations are included.
184 Pages of Works from Several Creative Phases
PIE International gives the scope as 184 full-color pages in B5 format. Alongside the images, the book contains an interview that traces Sheya’s path from her time at a Chinese art academy, through graduate studies in the USA, to her current work. The publisher cites more than 1.3 million followers across Sheya’s social networks as of July 2026.
Sheya works both as a freelance illustrator and as an animation director. Her works are characterized by clear colors, soft light and often calm, nostalgic everyday scenes. The art book thereby combines classic illustration work with material from an independently staged music video production.
Regular sales begin in Japan on August 21, 2026. A digital edition appears on the same day. The printed volume costs ¥2,600 plus tax. A pre-release has been running since July 24 at the Yurindo Lumine Yokohama store, where a signing event has also been announced for August 8. Details of a German-language or international edition are not yet available.
