Minami-ke: Season 5 Premieres April 2027 with First PV
LIDENFILMS takes over production; the voice actresses of the three Minami sisters are returning.

The TV anime Minami-ke: Korekara will premiere in Japan in April 2027. The broadcast month and a first teaser PV were announced by those responsible on November 8, 2026, at the "Minami-ke Special Event 2026." A teaser visual, the cast and the production team of the fifth TV season were also presented.
The Return of the Three Minami Sisters
The new season continues the everyday comedy centered on Haruka, Kana and Chiaki Minami. Haruka is the responsible eldest sister, Kana regularly stirs up trouble as the middle sister, while the youngest sister Chiaki is known for her sharp remarks. The published visual shows all three in school uniforms jumping together.
The teaser begins in the family's familiar apartment. Among other things, the arguments between Kana and Chiaki, friends from their respective schools and other well-known characters can be seen. At the end, the video confirms the planned broadcast start in April 2027.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
The television series thus returns after a long hiatus: the four previous TV seasons aired in 2007, 2008, 2009 and most recently in 2013. The continuation was already announced in 2024, and the subtitle "Korekara" followed in November 2025.
Familiar Voices and a New Production Team
The three lead voice actresses remain: Rina Sato voices Haruka, Marina Inoue takes over Kana and Minori Chihara returns as Chiaki. Other roles are also being cast again with former ensemble members, including Nana Mizuki as Toma Minami, Daisuke Ono as Hosaka and Tetsuya Kakihara as Fujioka.
Direction is handled by Junichi Kitamura, while Takamitsu Kono is responsible for series composition and Nobuhiro Ando for character design. The animation is produced by LIDENFILMS. With sound director Yasunori Ebina and composer Yasuhiro Misawa, two further contributors from earlier seasons remain on board.
The source is the manga by Koharu Sakuraba, which has been published in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine since 2004. The official announcement now cites 29 collected volumes and a total circulation of more than five million copies.
According to previous announcements, the continuations of Skip and Loafer and Yuru Camp△ also begin in April 2027. A precise Japanese broadcast day or a German streaming partner for Minami-ke: Korekara has not yet been named.
