BELLE: PROJECT LAYRA streams its finale and screens it in cinemas
Miki Maria and Konomi Suzuki take the spotlight in two performances; the recordings remain available until November 29.

The live project PROJECT LAYRA, based on the anime film BELLE, will broadcast its finale on November 15, 2026 to 15 Japanese cinemas and additionally as a paid online stream. The organizing JR East Cultural Creation Foundation announced this on November 7. Two performances will be streamed live and then offered as recordings.
Two streams and one cinema broadcast
The final performance at 6 p.m. Japan time will be shown on November 15 in selected Aeon Cinema theaters. Cinema tickets cost 4,400 yen. Advance sales begin on November 8 at 12 p.m. Japan time. All 15 participating venues are located in Japan.
For viewers outside the cinemas, there are two digital performances via SPWN: one at 11 a.m. with Miki Maria and one at 6 p.m. with Konomi Suzuki in the role of the singer LAYRA and Kotomi, respectively. The recordings remain available after each performance until November 29, 2026 at 11 p.m. Japan time. A stream ticket costs 4,400 yen; a version with merchandise is available for 7,700 yen.
The official information does not mention a German cinema broadcast. Whether the SPWN tickets can also be purchased and used from Germany is not explicitly explained there.
New story in the world of BELLE
PROJECT LAYRA is not a re-staging of the film by Mamoru Hosoda. The immersive music show tells a new story set five years after the events of BELLE. The virtual singer Belle has disappeared from the online world U. Her former producer Hiro discovers the up-and-coming musician LAYRA and prepares the music festival "Utopia" with her.
The production combines animated imagery with real singers, stage technology and virtual elements. It has been running since October 10 in the Box1000 of MoN Takanawa in Tokyo; November 15 is the last event day. The official project page also shows a video by Sony about the stage experience.
The spin-off had previously received its own song: aninew.de reported in September on LAYRA's debut single "Watashi wa LAYRA". The planned film for Paradox Live shows another approach to combining animated characters and music.
