Ghost Meets Gal! is getting a second anime season. Bushiroad announced the continuation of the short anime on 28 October 2026 during its autumn presentation for Cardfight!! Vanguard. Continuation of the Running Short Anime
Under its Japanese title Gosuto Meets Gal! (ごーすと・みーつ・ぎゃる！), the first season has been airing on Japanese television since 5 September 2026. The story is set in the school town of Lyrical Monasterio, which also appears in the Vanguard universe. There, a rather shy ghost figure and a self-confident schoolgirl meet. What unites them is the wish to perform as an idol.
The anime is based on the manga by Kaeru DX. Kenshiro Morii directs; the animation is produced by AtoriE. Both the manga author and the director contributed comments on the announcement of the second season. Bushiroad has so far named neither a broadcast month nor a number of new episodes.
In Germany, no streaming date has yet been confirmed for the announced continuation.
Cardfight!! Vanguard: Veil Lift Launches in 2027
At the same event, Bushiroad also presented Cardfight!! Vanguard: Veil Lift as the title of its next major TV anime series. The new production is planned for 2027 and belongs to the series' 15th anniversary. The original character designs and the source material come from Akira Ito. The studio Kinema Citrus is handling the animation, as it did previously for Divinez.
A first teaser presents terms and illustrations from the planned series. A separate production presentation has also been announced. Specific details about the main voice cast, the episode count and the exact start date are still missing.
The official recording of the Bushiroad presentation includes the teaser from approximately 18 minutes and 30 seconds.

Conclusion of the Divinez Series in November
Before the new series, the current story arc will be concluded: Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez: Unmei Seisen-hen begins on Japanese television on 7 November 2026 and comprises three episodes. The new projects thus directly follow the end of the Divinez story.
Bushiroad also relies on ongoing anime projects for other productions. For BanG Dream! MyGO!!!!! / Ave Mujica, another anime start in January 2027 has already been announced.
