Dan-Katsu: New Teaser PV Shows Four Heroines and Cast
The trailer for the light novel adaptation shows anime scenes for the first time and introduces the voices of Hannah, Sierra, Lana and Esther.

Dan-Katsu shows animated scenes for the first time in a new teaser PV and introduces four more voice actresses. The TV adaptation of the light novel series Game Sekai Tensei Dan-Katsu is set to air on Japanese television in January 2027. The new video was published on the official anime website on November 4, 2026.
The teaser opens with the loss of the protagonist Zephyrus's saved game data. It then shows his rebirth in the game world he had explored extensively before, along with encounters with four central characters. A snippet of the opening "Play the Play" by MindaRyn can also be heard. The video comes from the production's official material and can be viewed on the ABC Animation YouTube channel.
This video will only connect to YouTube once you play it.
Four New Voices for the Main Characters
Ayaka Nanase voices Hannah, Zephyrus's childhood friend who wants to become an alchemist. Kotone Izumi plays Sierra, a noblewoman from a family of experienced shield fighters.
Hikaru Iida can be heard as Lana, a princess who aspires to the profession of saint. Chihaya Asakura voices Esther, Lana's longtime bodyguard. The official website publishes new character descriptions and comments from the voice actresses for all four characters. Yuto Uemura had already been confirmed as Zephyrus.
From Role-Playing Game to One's Own Game World
The source novel by Nishikigi Kaede is published by TO Books; the illustrations come from Shuri. Zephyrus has spent more than 8,000 hours in the fictional role-playing game Dungeon Shuukatsu no Susume, or Dan-Katsu for short. After being reborn into its world, he uses his knowledge of jobs, equipment and party formation to explore the dungeons.
The production is handled by STUDIO MASSKET under the direction of Nagisa Miyazaki. Yuji Kobayashi is in charge of series composition and scripts. The ending "My Life Story" comes from LINKL PLANET.
Like Devils' Crest, Dan-Katsu explores the connection between game rules and a newly experienced world. Further anime adaptations of light novels are announced for 2027, including King's Proposal. The development of an anime-inspired game world was also recently reported in connection with Shangri-La Frontier.
The official Dan-Katsu website has not yet announced a specific Japanese premiere date, the number of episodes, or a streaming provider for Germany.
